The Association Advocating for Women and Children (AWAC) provides 24/7 support, community, and outreach services to clients in the Prince George area. Based on the Housing First Principles of rapid housing with supports, offering clients choice in housing, separating housing provision from other services, integrating housing into the community and using a strengths based approach to promote self-sufficiency, AWAC Housing First staff are available to deliver information and awareness presentations. They work with clients and landlords to build positive working relationships and improve the health and well-being of all community members. For more info, contact Amie Foster or Sheila Tremblay at AWAC.
