The Housing Package was created by Spinal Cord Injury BC to assist individuals searching for accessible housing. There are three types of wheelchair accessible housing available for persons with disabilities in British Columbia. The first two of these are Low Rental and Mixed Income housing, which are operated like regular rental buildings, with or without subsidies. The last type is co-op housing, where there is no landlord and the complex is run by a group of residents. These can also be subsidized or not. See the document for more descriptions of how and where to find housing, including contacts for housing providers in the Lower Mainland.
